Step into a springtime dream on this guided circular walk around Crummock Water. Wander through enchanting bluebell in full bloom, and enjoy the serene lakeside views. Feeling brave? Take a refreshing dip in the water along the way. A perfect day for nature lovers and photographers alike.

Outline of the Day

  •  9am : Meet the group at Penrith Bus Station & discuss the day ahead
  • 10am – 4pm: a full day walk to the top of High Cup Nick via the valley and returning via the ridge
  • 4pm: Debrief and head home
  • 5pm: Arrival in Penrith

Christel is a qualified Mountain Leader, Forest School Leader and Nordic Walking Instructor. She is also trained in outdoor First Aid and in Off-Site Safety Management with the Royal Geographical Society. She has a vast knowledge of mountain hiking worldwide. She speaks 3 languages: French, English and Spanish.
Do I need to be an experienced walker?
  • Not at all. Each walk is graded, and your guide sets a comfortable pace with plenty of breaks. If you’re unsure, feel free to get in touch, we’re happy to advise.
Can beginners join?
  • Yes! Many of our walks are suitable for beginners with a reasonable level of fitness.
Do I need special equipment?
  • No specialist gear is required, but good walking shoes/boots and weather-appropriate clothing are essential.
Are the walks suitable for locals as well as visitors?
  • Absolutely. Our guided walks and excursions are open to everyone, locals and visitors alike.
What happens if the weather is bad?
  • We go ahead in most weather conditions (it’s all part of the adventure!), but routes may be adapted for safety. In extreme cases, we may reschedule or offer an alternative.
Can I come on my own?
  • Of course! Many people join solo. It’s a friendly, relaxed group atmosphere.
Guided Walks – Terms & Conditions (Summary)
  • By booking a walk with North View Adventure, you agree to the following:
1. Participation & Safety
  • You take part at your own risk in an outdoor activity with natural hazards
  • You are responsible for your own health, fitness, and safety
  • Follow your guide’s instructions at all times
  • Wear suitable clothing and footwear, and bring any medication
2. Age & Fitness
  • Minimum age: 14 (under 18s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian)
  • Some walks may have age restrictions (e.g., themed walks)
  • A reasonable level of fitness is required
3. Transfers
  • One transfer per booking is allowed, requested in writing
Transfer fees:
    • Within 14 days of booking → Free
    • 31+ days before walk → 10%
    • 15–30 days → 25%
    • 8–14 days → 50%
    • 1–7 days → 75%
    • On the day / non-attendance → Not available
    • Price differences apply if transferring to a more expensive walk. You may transfer your place to another person once, free of charge
4. Cancellations & Refunds
  • Let us know in writing as soon as possible
Refunds based on notice given:
    • Within 14 days → Full refund
    • 31+ days before walk → 75%
    • 15–30 days → 50%
    • 8–14 days → 25%
    • 0–7 days / non-attendance → No refund
    • No refunds if you’ve already transferred your booking
5. If We Cancel
  • We may cancel due to weather, safety, or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Your options: transfer to another date, credit for a future walk, or full refund
6. Dogs
  • Dogs are allowed only with prior permission
  • Must be well-behaved, on a lead, and under your control
  • You are responsible for your dog’s safety and behaviour
7. Health & Illness
  • Do not attend if unwell, contagious, or unable to participate safely
8. Agreement
  • By booking, you confirm you’ve read and understood the full Terms & Conditions
  • You accept the risks, agree to follow your guide, and confirm fitness to participate
