A Note for First-Time Trekkers
This trek is designed for people with a moderate level of fitness who are comfortable walking several hours a day at a steady, unpressured pace. You do not need prior trekking experience. What matters most is curiosity, openness, and a willingness to share daily life in the desert.

- Christel has a degree in Business Studies in tourism and is a qualified Forest School Leader, Holiday Camp Leader, and Mountain Leader. She is trained in outdoor First Aid and Off-site Safety Management with the Royal Geographical Society. Having explored hiking destinations worldwide, Christel first visited Morocco in 1995 and was immediately captivated by its rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, and the genuine kindness of its people. Her connection to the country has only deepened, and she is passionate about creating sustainable, slow travel experiences that honour local traditions, celebrate ways of life, and offer meaningful cultural exchange. Christel speaks English, French, and Spanish.
- Yousef: After starting his career as a muleteer, he gained in-depth knowledge of organising and managing treks. He also worked as a cook, refining his skills in preparing meals for diverse groups. In 1995, he qualified as a professional guide and has been leading clients from many countries, including France, Switzerland, and Germany. He is fluent in several Moroccan dialects, Arabic, French, and German, with a good command of English. He brings both expertise and a warm, personal touch to every journey.

- A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking.
- The balance is due 6 months prior to departure.
- There is a minimum of participants for all of our treks. If the departure doesn’t go ahead due to an insufficient number of people booked, you will be notified no later than a month before departure and you will receive a full refund.
- Any cancellation once the departure has been guaranteed by us will incur a cancellation fee
- You must have personal travel insurance, including hospitalisation and repatriation. We strongly recommend purchasing it once your booking is confirmed. We will require a copy of your policy
